What is Acro?

Acro is a style that combines classical dance techniques with acrobatic movements, blending athleticism and artistry to create powerful and visually stunning performances.


What to wear to Acro?

Leotard and biker shorts or biker shorts and crop top. Bare legs and feet. Keep your hair up and out of your face. No jewelry.

We offer ballet classes starting at age 1 all the way up to adults. Ballet is the foundation of all dance. Ballet focuses on technique through barre exercises, combinations across the floor, and center work to gain strength. It also teaches the dancer to be patient, listen to instructions, and have self-control.


What to wear for Pre-Ballet and Ballet?

Girls: Ages 1-9 - Solid color leotard – no neon, sequins, etc., pink footed or convertible tights, pink, full-soled ballet shoes, small skirts attached or detached are acceptable, hair in a bun or secured away from face. NO SHORTS! No jewelry.

Girls: Ages 10+ - Solid black leotard, any style, pink tights, pink, split sole ballet shoes, skirts are acceptable, hair in a bun or secured away from face. NO SHORTS! No jewelry.

Boys: All Ages - Black dance/jazz pants and white t-shirt with no logos or writing, black ballet shoes.

*All ballet shoes must be authentic ballet shoes. NO HOUSE SLIPPERS OR RIBBONS TIED AROUND ANKLE

What is Ballet/Tap Combo?

This combo class focuses on beginning ballet technique for strength as well as rhythm and musicality through tap.


What to wear to Ballet/Tap?

Girls: Solid color leotard – no neon, sequins, etc., pink tights, pink, full soled ballet shoes and tan tap shoes, small skirts are acceptable, hair secured away from the face. No jewelry.

Boys: Black dance/jazz pants and a white T-shirt with no logos or writing, black ballet shoes and black tap shoes.

*Slip-on tap and jazz shoes are the best and easiest

What is Ballet/Jazz Combo?

This class is designed for ages 5-9. Of course dancers learn ballet technique, but ends the class with high energy jazz technique, across the floor combinations and/or learning choreography


What to wear to Ballet/Jazz?

What is Jazz/Tap Combo?

This class is designed for ages 5-9. Dancers learn upbeat jazz steps/choreography and rhythm through tap dance.

MOMMY/DADDY

MOMMY/DADDY & ME

This class designed for ages 1-5. It is very popular as it is a chance to connect with your child in a different way by participating in the class with them as they learn motor skills, coordination, balance and basic beginning ballet. This class is a blast and brings out your inner child.


What to wear to Mommy/Daddy & me?

Girls: solid color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, small skirts are acceptable, hair secured away from the face. No jewelry, tiaras, stuffed animal friends.

Boys: Black pants and white T-shirt with no logos and writing, black ballet shoes.

*All ballet shoes must be authentic ballet shoes. NO HOUSE SLIPPERS ALLOWED. Ballet shoes need to be full-soled.

Parents: wear comfortable clothes and ballet shoes or bare feet.

What is Musical Theater?

This class is for ages 6+ and focuses on Broadway-style dance and a strong focus on character. Our classes also include training in singing and acting. Triple threat!


What to wear to Musical Theater?

Girls: solid color plain leotard, tan tights or black jazz pants, tan jazz shoes, hair secured away from the face. No jewelry.

Boys: Black pants and white T-shirt with no logos and writing, black jazz shoes.

HIP HOP

What is Hip Hop?

This class is for ages 6 and up. Hip Hop focuses on musicality, precision and choreography. All kids (and adults) love dancing hip hop!


What to wear to Hip Hop?

Girls: Tank top or t-shirt,  jazz pants, sweatpants, or leggings. NO SHORTS! Clean sneakers that are dedicated for studio only or jazz shoes. Hair secured away from face. No jewelry.

What is Contemporary?

This class is for ages 6+. Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet.

What is Pom & Drill Prep?

Pom and Drill Prep is designed to train dancers in the energetic and synchronized movements commonly seen in pom and drill team performances. This class focuses on building precision, coordination, and teamwork, preparing dancers to excel in group routines often featured in sports events and college dance teams. Whether aspiring to join a school team or simply seeking a high-energy dance experience, our Pom and Drill Prep class provides the perfect platform to enhance skills and foster a sense of camaraderie among dancers. Our Jumps and Turns and conditioning class is also great for this style of dancer.


What to wear to Pom and Drill Prep?

Girls: Plain leotard, black jazz pants, black or tan tights, boy shorts. Dance footies, half shoes, or tan jazz shoes. Hair secured away from face. No T-shirts or baggy clothing.

What is Lyrical?

This class is for ages 6 and up, teaches jazz technique, across the floor progressions, center work and learning choreography focusing on the emotional lyrics of a song. Lyrical is storytelling.


What to wear to Lyrical?

Girls: Plain leotard, tan tights, boy shorts acceptable, dance footies or half shoes. Hair secured away from face. No T-shirts or baggy clothing. No jewelry.

Boys: Black pants and white T-shirt with no logos or writing, and half shoes.

Pointe

Pointe *

What is Pointe?

Pointe is an advanced technique in ballet where dancers dance on the tips of their toes using specialized pointe shoes. It requires significant strength, balance, and years of classical ballet training. Our dance center offers Pre-Pointe Conditioning for a new dancer and Pointe classes for more experienced ballet dancers.

Testing for pointe shoes is required and offered every year in May. Pre-Pointe Conditioning in mandatory if your dancer wished to be on pointe.

*If your child is not a trained ballet dancer, do not let them try on pointe shoes or dance in them. This can cause major injuries and even breaks. Growth plates must be developed appropriately. Please assure your instructors are well educated in pointe technique and safety before dancing in pointe shoes!


What to wear to pointe?

Girls: black leotard, pink tights, pink pointe ballet shoes that are fitted by a professional, small skirts OK, hair in a bun or secured away from face.
